Of course, I'd never put that idea into practice until I absolutely could not find a free pattern for this sunflower anywhere. Also, I'd never picked up a crochet hook in my life when I decided to teach myself an advanced pattern from the internet.  Go big or go home. 😉

I hadn't worked in months, so I couldn't afford it, but I figured the yarn to make a blanket would be a lot cheaper than the blanket itself.
